Jingdezhen Study Tour
The English word 'china', which seems simple yet carries profound cultural connotations, has a rather intriguing dual identity. To be specific, when it appears in lowercase, it represents the exquisite and renowned porcelain; By contrast, when it is presented in uppercase, it points to our great motherland--China. Thus, this subtle textual connection is like an invisible yet tenacious bond, tightly linking China's profound historical culture with the world-renowned porcelain art. Now, please follow the footsteps of the students with the Senior High School Division of our school and step into this ancient city of Jingdezhen.
In the first place, in the early morning, the sunlight shone upon the campus of Anqing Foreign Language School. Our group of energetic teachers and students, filled with the aspiration for Jingdezhen, set off from here, heading to Jingdezhen. In the school parking lot, the buses were waiting quietly. Everyone got on the buses in an orderly manner, with laughter and joy filling the buses instantly. Afterwards, the buses slowly started. Looking at the receding campus, we were filled with anticipation, with thousand-year-old ceramic culture and unique local customs of Jingdezhen eagerly calling us.
In the second place, the instant we stepped into the front courtyard of Jingdezhen Museum, everyone's pace slowed down unconsciously, as if afraid of disturbing this serene atmosphere that is rich in historical charm. Meanwhile, the sunlight fell down, making the building shine brightly. Also, teachers and students stood in a neat row, with smiles on their faces. With a 'click' of the camera, the precious moment was captured. In the photo, it was our first encounter with the ceramic culture. Besides, behind the museum lies a thousand-year-old story, and the current snapshot will become the most incredible footnote in our memories.
In the third place, as the camera clicked to freeze the smiles of everywhere, students turned and stepped into the main hall of Jingdezhen Museum, as if they had entered a dreamlike palace of ceramics, where the soft light in the hall fell upon the pieces of ceramics, adding to their ancient charm and mystery. Therefore, students fell silent instantly and moved orderly among the display cabinets, whose eyes were filled with awe, as if they were afraid of disturbing the serene atmosphere in which the entire room of ceramics was recounting their thousand-year-old stories. Evidently, students were concentrating on appreciating the artistic treasures before them.
In the fourth, after leaving the Jingdezhen Museum, everyone's enthusiasm remained unabated in that they set off for the ancient county government building of Fuliang to continue their exploration. Entering the county government office, an atmosphere of antiquity greeted everyone. In the meantime, the cobblestone paths and the mottled walls told tales of the passing years. Moreover, the grand lobby remained imposing and dignified, evoking memories of the scenes of trials in the past. Walking around here, students felt as if transported back to ancient times, experiencing the unique historical charm of Fuliang. Additionally, unlike the ceramic culture displayed in the museum, what was presented here was a different kind of humanistic charm, which was both captivating and unforgettable.
In conclusion, leaving Jingdezhen is like saying goodbye to a springtime dream, in which there lies the unparalleled splendor of the thousand-year-old porcelain capital and the long-lasting charm of the ancient county government building. More remarkably, now that the dream had ended and teachers and students were on their way back, everyone realized that the fragments of the dream had been embedded in their hearts, turning into twinkling stars that would illuminate their journey home, making the memories of this spring outing shine brightly forever.
